Clive bleeds confidence in the mind of most who know him. While not quite narcissistic about it, he is rather smug. It probably comes from the job, as he handles the Public Relations for the Spades. As such, he is a fast, smooth talker. He knows what to say and when to say it- and sometimes people might think he’s a little crazy based on the tap-dance of words he can use to get out of a situation (or at least, calm everyone down).

On a personal level- Clive is more superficial than he would ever like to admit to people. It isn’t because of any particular trauma in his life, though. He simply did not learn that sharing as perfectly acceptable. As such, he tries very hard to be the ‘it’ guy- the one everyone wants to be, wants to know, and wants to be friends with. Some might claim it is because of family pressure, but the truth is that Clive just doesn’t want to feel as if he subpar- after all, his cousins are accomplished in their own fields- and they are all younger than him. As such, he reaches out to achieve, and be the best. And he is a bit of a cock about it as well.

All in all, Clive is pretty normal- particularly when measured against a large number of ‘infamous’ Spades. He has his ambitions, but he also has a bit of a moral compass that prevents him from just sacrificing anything to get to his goals. He is a bit proud of Jordan and Hadyn’s break from their mother, not that he’d say it aloud though. Instead, he just focuses on making himself invaluable to his suit.
